How to use a universal meter to test the quality of electrical wires?|test lead holder for wires

Turn the multimeter knob to the position marked with the buzzer mark.
Connect the black and red test pens of the multimeter to the metal part. At this time, the multimeter emits a continuous beeping sound, and the multimeter is normal.
Strip both ends of the wire to be measured to make it leak out of the metal part.
Make the metal parts of the two test leads of the multimeter close to the two ends of the lead under test, and you will hear a beeping sound at this time!
If there is a beep, it proves that the wire is normal and there is no beep, it proves that the wire is open, and the wire needs to be replaced.

Wire break point measurement method:

Specific method: Connect one end of the wire (cable) with a breakpoint to the live wire of the 220V mains, while the other end is suspended in the air. Pull the digital multimeter to the AC2V block, start from the live wire access end of the wire (cable), hold the tip of the black test lead with one hand, and slowly move the red test lead along the insulating skin of the wire with the other hand, and it will display at this time The voltage value displayed on the screen is about 0.445V (measured by the DT890D meter). When the red test lead moved to a certain place, the voltage displayed on the display suddenly dropped to a few volts (about one tenth of the original voltage), and about 15cm from this position forward (the live wire connection end) is the wire ( Cable) where the breakpoint is located. When using this method to check the shielded wire, if only the core wire is broken and the shielding layer is not broken, it cannot be measured with this method.
